The Layout and Location
Harbour House is located high on Hog’s Nose at the southern tip of the town of Trinity. Every room offers spectacular views of the ocean. From the front deck you can sit and relax while you admire the spectacular ocean, the Fort Point Lighthouse and the cliffs of Skerwink. During the months on July and August, whales can sometimes be spotted from the bedroom windows and wrap around deck. Harbour House is bright and spacious with harmonious décor and attention to detail offering every comfort of home.
The house has a large wrap around deck with chairs and BBQ. There are 3 bedrooms (2 queen and one with 2 twins) located on the second floor. There is one full bathroom on the second floor and another half bathroom (toilet/sink only) located on the first floor. The first floor offers a full kitchen and sitting area with double pull out couch. There are a washer and dryer located in the basement of the house which we do allow guests to access during their stay.
The Harbour House is located a 7 minute walk from the Twine Loft.

If you have stayed in Harbour House before please note that while Covid-19 is a concern the washer and dryer in the basement will not be accessible to guests.
A complimentary delivery of fresh towels, sheets and dish cloths is offered after 5 nights for longer bookings.
One of the great advantages of an Artisan Inn Vacation Home is that the inn’s staff are on hand to provide assistance to guests with self-catering homes. If the wi-fi is down, you cannot operate the TV, if you experience a plumbing issue or if you just need directions to the nearest grocery store, assistance will be provided to you with physical distancing protocols in place.
Please note that some decorative items featured in the kitchen may have been removed from the home to reduce unnecessary touchpoints
Traditionally, guests must check in at the Artisan Inn’s office located on the second floor of the Twine Loft, where they will receive a town orientation and be taken into their vacation home by a staff member.
COVID-19 UPDATED CHECK-IN: During the timeframe that Covid-19 and close contact is a concern, The Artisan Inn will offer a contactless check-in and provide orientation information via email and or video call.
Check In: 4pm You may check in earlier if the property is ready. If you wish to check in after 6pm please notify the office ahead of time.
Check Out Time: 10:30am Our check out time has been moved from 11am to 10am to permit our staff the additional time required to clean the vacation home in a manner that protects both staff and guests from contact with Covid-19. If the house will be empty for a few days after your departure we will let you know if later check-out is possible.

STANDARD POLICIES & COVID-19 UPDATES:
DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATIONS
The first night stay base rate is due as the deposit amount. The base rate is the summer season nightly rate for 1-3 nights (the highest rate advertised in the range)
CLEANING FEE: A $35 cleaning fee is applied to each booked accommodation to cover the additional materials and human resources required to clean a property in a manner that protects both staff and guests from contact with Covid-19. We have always prided ourselves on cleanliness which is why our added cleaning fee is fairly minimal. We do need to disinfect and not just clean certain items in the house that typically would not have been disinfected in the past (ex the lock mechanism of every window, the pull cord of every blind, every dish in the house even if it has been washed already by the previous guests.) If a room or house is booked for multiple days, the cleaning fee is charged ONCE for that entire reservation. If multiple accommodations are reserved in a booking, a cleaning fee will be applied to each separate accommodation booked. EX. Someone booking 2 different vacation homes to accommodate a group would pay a $70 cleaning fee ($35 per property).
MINIMUM NIGHT STAY: This vacation home has a mandatory 3 night minimum on our online booking system, please email for shorter stays, if it makes sense, we will rent it for 1 or 2 days.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS: If you are renting other properties with us or in the area, please be advised that that the province of Newfoundland and Labrador has restrictions on the size of gatherings permitted. Should these restrictions be lifted, please be aware that the Artisan Inn still has its own max capacity limit. The max number of guests who may sleep in this house is 6 people and only guests staying in the property may enter it to protect our staff from extra exposure. Given Covid-19 concerns the inn will be strict with enforcing this policy and guests will be required to sign a compliance waiver recognizing our rental policies.
RENTAL POLICIES: Pets, Smoking, the Cooking of Shellfish, Parties and Wedding Related Events are not permitted
ADDITIONAL AREAS GUESTS OF OUR VACATION HOMES MAY ACCESS (This may not be applicable until 2021)
For 2020 the Twine Loft will most likely not be available to guests, however we will update you if this changes.
Twine Loft Deck
Guests of Blueberry Cottage are always welcome on the Twine Loft deck without purchasing anything from the Twine Loft. Warm blankets and drink service are available.
Twine Loft – The Loft
The Loft area is where we keep maps and brochures of the area and other businesses. There is also a sitting area and a few tables where guests can relax and/or request drink service. There is wifi in the Twine Loft as well in case you are looking for a change of scenery from your room, but would like to surf the web. The front desk is open from 8am-8pm. During this time, guests can receive itinerary planning assistance from our staff.
