How We Calculate Vessel Length

Dock rental rates are based on your vessel’s total overall length, measured from the furthest point at the bow to the furthest point at the stern.

This includes engines, platforms, equipment, or anything else extending beyond the bow or stern.

Measurements are rounded to the nearest foot:

Under 6 inches: Round down

6 inches or more: Round up

The maximum vessel length we can accommodate is 55 feet.

Daily Rental Check-Out

Daily dock rentals end at 11:00 AM on the day following arrival.

For example:

Arrive Monday at 2:00 PM
Depart by 11:00 AM Tuesday
1 daily rental charge

Remaining at the dock after 11:00 AM without prior approval may result in an additional full-day rental charge.

Need more time? Contact us before your scheduled departure. Late departures may be available depending on incoming reservations and dock availability.

When approved in advance, a $10 per hour late departure fee may apply instead of an additional full-day rental charge.

Parking

Dock renters may park one vehicle in the parking area at 1 West Street while accessing their vessel during the rental period.

Overnight parking is not permitted unless the renter has received permission to stay overnight aboard their vessel.

Staying Overnight on Your Vessel

One overnight aboard your vessel may be included as part of a daily dock rental.

For longer rentals, staying aboard your vessel overnight requires prior permission from Artisan Inn & Twine Loft.

Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

During quiet hours, renters and their guests must avoid excessive noise, loud music, unnecessary engine operation, or other activities that may disturb neighbouring dock users or nearby residents.

Using Your Dock Space

Your rental provides access to an assigned dock space for the duration of your confirmed rental period.

The dock may be used for:

  • Boarding and accessing your vessel
  • Loading and unloading gear
  • Routine vessel maintenance and upkeep
  • Unloading and cleaning fish

Dock spaces are intended primarily for recreational vessel use. Commercial or business use requires prior written approval from Artisan Inn & Twine Loft.

Your assigned space is for the vessel listed on your rental agreement.

Dock spaces cannot be transferred or sublet, and another vessel cannot use your assigned space without prior permission.

When dock availability is limited or a waitlist is in place, vessels with valid liability insurance may be given priority.

The dock and any fish-cleaning area must be thoroughly cleaned after use. Fish remains must not be left on the dock or surrounding property and must be disposed of appropriately.

Weather and Vessel Safety

Vessel owners are responsible for monitoring weather conditions and taking appropriate steps to protect their vessels.

Artisan Inn & Twine Loft does not monitor vessels on behalf of renters and is not responsible for notifying renters of adverse weather or changing conditions.

During emergencies or severe weather, we may request that a vessel be relocated or may temporarily relocate vessels when necessary to help prevent or reduce damage to docks or vessels.

If you are unable to access your vessel, you may request assistance with relocation. Additional charges may apply.
