Where to Eat in Canada 2012 Edition

"At the Twine Loft they have an ambitious menu that starts with salmon pate and shrimp Napoleon, followed by braised lamb shanks, coq au vin with sesame, pork with rhubarb chutney, cod proveçale with white beans and Atlantic salmon in a hazelnut crust. Tineke Gow, who owns the place, is also interested in vegetarian dishes and maintains a complete vegetarian menu featuring sundried tomato and roasted pine-nut pasta, lentil ragout, mixed greens in raspberry vinaigrette, partridge-berry sorbet and barrens-blend pudding with screech.  Tineke’s daughter is the sommelier and she’s developed a remarkable wine-list that offers Yali reserve sauvignon blanc from the Casablanca Valley in Chile and Cockfighter’s Ghost pinot noir from Tasmania.  The Twine Loft is only five minutes from the summer theatre, and they guarantee that you’ll get there before the curtain rises."

Campbell House B&B – Artisan House: Owner Tineke Gow oversees this complex in the heart of Trinity.  The mid -19th-century Campbell House is decorated with antiques and has low ceilinged, light-filled rooms and a two-bedroom suite.  The beds here are so comfortable you may not want to leave them, but there’s much to see around Trinity. Artisan House includes guest rooms and a working artist’s studio.  The Twine Loft Restaurant offers fine dining by reservation.  Though there’s no elevator, there’s a wheelchair-friendly ground-floor apartment
