From Trans Canada Highway follow Highway 230 for 66 kilometres into Port Rexton. At the yellow service station, turn right onto Rocky Hill Road, following signs to Trinity East. After the school, we are the big blue house on the right at the bottom of the hill (300 metres beyond the "Trinity East" sign)
Certified Kayaking Guide Melanie Mast Describes the Tour
With Skerwink Hostel Kayak Tours you will experience a unique view of Trinity Harbour’s famous sites from the comfort and safety of a tandem kayak.
To begin the tour we leave from the beautiful town of Trinity East, looking across the harbour at the town of Trinity itself. We will paddle along the base of the Skerwink cliffs until we arrive at a massive sea cave that experienced sea kayakers can paddle all the way through.
Next we paddle by the Historic Fort Point Light House that sits at the mouth of the harbour, then cross southwest arm to the breathtaking Anglican Church. We will paddle along the coastline of Trinity to appreciate the traditional architecture of colourful clapboard houses from the water. We end the tour with paddling under an old railway bridge to a beautiful little waterfall, tucked in, out of the wind. Then it is only a 15 minute paddle along the coast of Trinity East to the original launching point.
During whale season we have a chance of seeing whales and if we are lucky to paddle along side of them.
