ROUTE 235
COASTAL DRIVE
This route is dotted with small communities built along rugged coastlines. During May and June visitors may have the chance to see icebergs floating in the waters and during the months of July and August whales can often be spotted feeding on Capelin.
ROUTE 230
THE HISTORY ROUTE
This route passes through Port Union on its way to the town of Bonavista, where John Cabot first landed in North America. Take in the scenery, visit the many municipal and provincial parks along the route and get in touch with Newfoundland's past.
ROUTE 238
PUFFIN PARADISE

After exploring Bonavista head south along Route 238 towards Elliston. Elliston is one of the best places in Newfoundland to observe a natural puffin habitat. Park the car and take a short walk out towards a small island Observers can often get close enough to the puffins to not need binoculars.
ROUTE 239
RANDOM PASSAGE
This route leads south of Trinity towards New Bonaventure and the Random Passage film set. Pass through the towns of Trouty and Dunfield and turn left heading towards Fort Point Lighthouse. From the lighthouse visitors will have a fantastic view of Trinity.
TERRA NOVA
NATIONAL PARK
Located on Route 1, is the home of 400 sq. km. of boreal forest and the end of the Appalachian Mountains. Take a trek along more than 50 km of hiking trails or explore our spectacular coastline from a sea kayak.
