About the Artisan Inn
Visitors arriving at Powell's Point lookout in the old-town historic area of Trinity are greeted by a spectacular and much photographed view of Fisher Cove, Trinity harbour. Many of the buildings seen comprise the properties either owned or managed by the Artisan Inn.
The business began (1992) as Campbell House Hospitality Home, a name which is still recognized as a place to stay in Trinity. By 1997 it was operating under the banner of Artisan Inn which has further evolved to provide patrons with a unique travelling experience. The Inn has shorefront accommodations that include rooms, suites and vacation homes. These are provided in several homes situated within minutes walking distance of each other and they have Canada Select 4 or higher star ratings.
A seaside fishing room has been converted into a central facility called the Twine Loft. It is the focal centre of the Artisan Inn and includes the registration desk, dining-room, lounge area and a seaside open-deck. Its Twine Loft Restaurant is recommended in Where to Eat in Canada.
Accommodations are provided in Barbour Place, Campbell House, Commander’s Keep, Cove Cottage, Gover House, and Lighthouse View. Of these, Campbell House and Gover House have won awards for historic restoration .
