Down the Garden Path
Owner Tineke Gow has created a garden that comes right from the 1840's, from wild lupines to
peonies, lilies, irises, foxglove and Jacob's ladder.
The heritage garden is a collection of plants from old Newfoundland gardens. Enjoy the old fashioned varieties of perennials as they evoke remembrances of people and gardens past. Learn the common names associated with many of these plants, such as boy's love, grandmother's bluebells and live-forever. The plants are tough, hardy survivors of our unpredictable climate and have a mind of their own. If you are visiting at the right time, Tineke will happily provide you with a few cuttings, to plant in your own garden as a reminder of your stay at Campbell House.
